	Learned how to fly last night. Didn't think anything could lift these nineteen years from the pavement. Hint of wind and illumination of lights. Silence in the city. Arms up, eyes shut. Prepare for liftoff. No one was around to mock us. Verizon winked in the distance.
	Limbs tangled on the grass. Trains roar by overhead. The occasional shout and a sprinkling of stars. Inspiration doesn't strike quickly enough. Cracks in the sidewalk provide your near-demise. All these thoughts and my pen out of ink.

scratched into walls provide no answers. We scoff at anything less than intellectual and make our way to the next block.

In bed by three P.M. Dozing in the midday light. You're not talking. Seems this will be the last
time for anything. Later is a lie.
Days are as one now. Reasons to smile in October. Cold enough for scarves today. You are
and you aren't. Same question six times over. I've yet to find an answer.

Bleary eyes at eight. Avoiding faces that melt together and flow past purposefully. Clenched fists and resolutions. If-then statements provide little comfort. Spoken word forms no guarantee.
	Looks worse than I am. She got too close. You won't keep her away. Not knowing what I want. Not planning on getting it. Shattered beneath the stars again. Guide me through it: palms down, remain breathing. Miss a step.
	Too late for anything else. Sat outside your door. Slept and searched for wisdom. Dreams reveal your subconscious. None about me.
